Applying for a Commission
Commissions are opened publicly via social media posts (Bluesky, Telegram, Fur Affinity, Tumblr). Openings are frequent, generally at least one per month. Please follow any of the social media pages listed for information about future openings.
At the time of the opening you will get details about any rules and how the process will work! These can vary depending on the opening.
If you apply and are selected for a commission you will receive email correspondence within 48 hours (barring unforeseen events) of the commission closing. Only people who have been selected will receive an email.
If you would like to improve your chance of being selected, please make sure that you supply:
Please avoid using discord links as they rarely work. In addition, any google documents supplied for reference need to have their SHARE settings changed to allow me ([email protected]) to view them.
I do not have a waitlist or reserve slots. If you want a commission you must be present at the time of opening and apply following the rules given at the time of the opening.
You must be 18 or over to commission me! I do not, under any circumstances, work with minors. If you apply/get a commission and I find out you are a minor, your commission will be canceled and I will not work with you in the future.

Correspondence
All commission correspondence is done through email. You can contact me at any time at [email protected]
If for some reason I cannot contact you through email, I will attempt to reach out to one of your listed alternate contacts that I asked for when you applied for a commission. If I am able to, I will reach out through an account involving the “CinnamonSpots” name so you know it’s me. I will not reach out on a platform that I do not have an account on currently (Twitter/X, Instagram, etc).
My general work hours are Tues-Fri from 9am-5pm. I will not respond to emails outside of work hours, except in very specific circumstances.
I cannot promise to see/answer any commission related questions sent through alternate social media/gallery sites. I do not check them regularly and notifcations are easy to miss. If you need to contact me for any reason, use the email above.
If you feel like you should have received contact from me and did not, please reach out and ask! Sometimes emails land in spam folders, especially if I’m contacting several people at the same time. I send out emails manually so there is always a chance for human error.

Payment
All commission payments are taken via invoice. You need a working email address to receive the invoice and a valid debit or credit card to pay it.
All commission payments are taken in full and upfront if you are chosen for a commission spot. You will receive the invoice alongside the confirmation email you receive if you are chosen for a commission.
Your spot in the queue will only be held once you pay the invoice. Generally I give 48 hours to pay unless otherwise specified. If you need to work out a later date, please reach out to me for options. I cannot guarantee to be able to work with your payment schedule and if I cannot get the payment by the time work on your commission is scheduled to begin, your commission will be canceled and you will be removed from the queue.
I do not split payments or do payment plans.
I require the person who filled out the form to pay the invoice. This means no gift commissions where the person who applied passes off contact/payment to someone else after being selected. If you would like to gift a commission please be prepared to work with me throughout the whole commission process and gift the finished commission to the person yourself.
I do not begin work until the payment is received and fully processed.
All invoices and prices displayed are USD.
Included on your invoice will be:
If you would like to leave a tip, you can do so when you pay the invoice. Tips are appreciated but not required! If you would like to tip after the commission process is complete you can reach out to me for instructions on how to do so.
If you have any questions about payments please email me.

Commission Queue
If you have been chosen for a commission and have paid for it, you can find your current commissions status on my public Trello board queue HERE. Your individual commission will have its own card.
Information included on the Trello card:
You will be given this information to confirm once your commission payment is processed.
Commissions do not have any set due date but typical turnaround time is about one month. You can track your progress on the Trello card. If one month has passed or progress has seemingly halted you are welcome to reach out to me and ask for an update.
The work queue is public and kept updated to the best of my ability. You are welcome to check your commission status at any time.
Information included on the Trello card:
- Your name/icon
- The type of commission you’re getting
- Progress Checklist so you can track its progress
- Whether or not payment was received

Work in Progress Updates
For higher priced, custom commission work you will receive a Work in Progress (“WIP”) sketch update before the final piece is completed. This will be sent to you via email, typically at the end of the work day I complete it on.
The WIP sketch is for you only! Please do not post it publicly. It is heavily watermarked and meant to share progress with you at a time that it is easy for you to request edits.
After you receive your WIP sketch, you may request edits. Minor edits are done for free and involve things such as limb placement, expression tweaks, clothing changes, etc. If I specifically miss drawing anything from the information you provided when you applied for the commission I will fix it free of charge.
Major edit requests will come with an extra fee depending on the amount of work. These typically start at $10 and go up from there. Major edits include things such as redrawing an entire character or large portion of the image or multiple rounds of smaller edits. The fee will be requested via invoice and must be paid before the edits are completed. If payment is delayed too long, your commission either refunded or proceed without the edit.
In most cases, if your commission is edited, I will send a second WIP so you can confirm all the details are correct.
Any edits that fall under “art style” rather than technical details may be refused. I will not make any edits to replicate another artist’s art style. Please be aware that over time, my own style changes and evolves as well! I will not go back and replicate artwork that I made at an earlier time in my career.
Once you are happy with your sketch the commission will progress and typical turnaround time is about one month. The next contact I make will be to give you your finished commission files, but if you have any questions or concerns while your commission is in progress, please feel free to reach out to me via email.
You may request edits at any point in the commission process after the sketch but they will come with a larger fee at this point, depending on how much work is involved. Commissions in the ink, color, shading or finalizing stage take considerably more work to edit than commissions still in the sketch stage. Please keep this in mind when you request late stage edits.
If I send you your WIP and I do not hear back from you within a reasonable amount of time, I will continue without confirmation. Typically I can give about 1 week to hear back from you before I must continue to stay on schedule. I will reach out via email a few times as well as try your alternate contact info before proceeding without confirmation.
Some commission openings will not include a WIP sketch. If there will be no WIP sketch available this will be clearly indicated during the commission opening. I cannot give you a WIP in these cases, even if you request one. Typically WIPs are not available for commissions that are worked on and completed quickly, such as YCHs and Quick commissions and the prices tend to reflect that.

When your commission is completed, you will typically receive a high resolution image for your own personal use and a low resolution image for public posting. I do not give out working files for commissions.

If I find you breaking any of the above rules, I will not work with you again in the future.
Edits on Completed Work
If you wish to have your completed commission edited, please reach out via email. You do not have to wait for an official commission opening to request an edit.
These edits will always come with a fee that is based on the amount of work the edit requires. This fee must be paid before any work is started.
Typically if you request an edit, I will work you into my current month’s schedule. If the edit is on the larger side, it may take longer and we will discuss a timeframe at the time of request.
I do work directly off provided reference sheets when it comes to colors. But please keep in mind I use various lighting, shading and filter effects with my artwork that may make the colors in the final piece look altered. This is intentional and part of the way I work! I generally will not edit/alter the colors unless I specifically got a color incorrect.
I may refuse an edit if the request is content I do not feel comfortable drawing.
I only offer edits on artwork that is less than one year old. If your artwork is outside this window, I will not edit if but you may commission a new, updated version during a future commission opening.

Refunds
If I have begun the commission process and you decide you want to cancel it please let me know as soon as possible. I am aware that sometimes issues arise and I’m happy to work with you if such an event occurs.
If I have not begun work on your commission, you will receive a full refund. If we have begun the commission process, you will receive a partial refund based on the amount of work completed.
If you cancel your commission, I may reuse your commission sketch for another commission or an YCH auction (depending on the type of commission). You will be informed of this before it happens.
If you cancel your commission and want another commission later, you will have to wait for a commission opening and go through the application process again.
I do not pause commissions or hold spots. Your commission is either paid for and actively being worked on, or it is canceled and refunded. I will not save or hold a sketch/in progress commission for you to resume at a later date.
All refunds will be issued within 24 hours after I confirm the request.
